We finally get a legit Spider-Man movie done by Marvel, featuring Tom Holland, Marisa Tomel(Aunt May), and... Robert Downey Jr...? Why is he in this movie...? Anyway, among other actors there's Zendaya(no idea who she is, but she's playing the character known as Michele González, a former roomate of Peter Parker), Laura Herrier, Tony Revolori, and the one and only, Michael Keaton. Unfortunately he can't be Batman in this movie, so instead he'll play the villain(which is also awesome), who many people theorize will be the Vulture, a villain who wouldn't really be my first choice, and many people have argued they chose him to play this character because of the movie Birdman. And I'm just like... whaaa? I mean I find it believable since Vulture was the second villain to ever appear in the comics, second to Chameleon, a villain that suits Keaton A LOT more, in my opinion(maybe we can get both of them in the movie! ). The place of the Vulture should go to the actor that was originally planned to play him in the Raimi trilogy, Ben Kingsley. He seems way more fitting to me.Also, this Michele character, I assume we aren't getting any Gwen Stacy or MJ, which is good because those two, as much as I love them, are a bit overused as Parker's love interest. This is something more fresh, since I'm not familiar with this character at all, so it's interesting. In case they actually use both Chameleon and Vulture in the movie, I want Ock and Sandman in the next one then. And then we can move on to Lizard and Electro. I honestly just want these movies to happen over the Avengers ones. Those feel like the same blockbuster every goddamn time. ![]() |

No as the movie has just officially been confirmed. Only thing we know is that Tony Stark will be Peter Parker's mentor. Which is fantastic as they have great chemistry |

I haven't seen Civil War yet(hopefully finally on Monday) but I hope this doesn't mean that Peter is less of a genius than he should be. Like I don't want Tony to basically create all his gadgets for him, kid should be a genius on his own. It'd be lame if Tony was essentially Q from James Bond. Of course, Stark technology should definitely feature in Spidey's arsenal. Can't wait though. As long as Keaton isn't the f***ing Goblin of any sort, enough of them for now. Not from this first movie but given that there will no doubt be more I hope they do Morbius and Kraven at some point. Spider Slayers would be great too. And Kingpin...God yes. Basically I want to see a lot of what was in the old cartoon Although Spider Slayers would just raise many "Why the f*** aren't any Avengers helping" questions. |

Spider-Man invented the web-shooters when he was 16, which I believe is the age we're going for with this Spidey, so yeah, he's an incredibly intelligent teenager, since the web-shooters are a lot more complicated than they appear.![]() Also, you mentioned Keaton playing Gobby... Gosh, brings back many Beetlejuice memories. |

Holy f*** 1st we got Spiderman. Then Spiderman 2. Then Spiderman 3 Then TASM. Next TASM2 Sratch that. Now we've got Homecoming. Next gonna be Homecoming 2 Scratch that as well. Fearless Spidey. Then, Fearless Spidey 2. Scratch that as well & they'll give us Angry Spiderman 1. Angry Spiderman 2. And 3 & 4 & Uncle Ben will roll in his grave Guess I'm the minority here, but I genuinely appreciate Raimi's trilogy. Those were instant classics & Raimi's expertise is unmatched by any half-baked film maker. His neat character-driven threads beautifully interweaved to villains agendas (Green Goblin, Doc Oct, Venom & SandMan). All while providing great visual spectacles during fight sequences as well as heart-warming moments sprinked generously which is realistic & genuine, thx to talented actors doing their job whole heartedly. All those points were "aliens" in TASM films. Needless to say I hated them As for this Homecoming, I really wish the original cast (Tobey Maguire, Dunst, James Franco etc) make a return. Just a wish.... |

I'm with you, Billa. I loved Raimi's trilogy. Then again I was like 8 when I first watched the first one, so I'm a bit biased towards those movies. I don't get what you're doing with the names and the sequels. Fearless Spidey? Whaaa? This movie is most likely referencing a storyline from the comics. It's not just a random title. ![]() Also, one thing I've been hoping for a while is that MCU uses the old theme by Danny Elfman. It's just... amazing. |

I think he'd be a good actor for that, they could make him look really old and really young quite easily. On the topic of music I hope they do bring in some cool tracks the MCU soundtrack is utterly laughable. Can't think of a single memorable bit of music it's the most generic hero OST ever even though they make billions... It'd be lame if they just went with the same Hans Zimmery stuff as D.C though. Just something, anything a bit more interesting. Guessing they'll take a step away from the Sinister Six for now. Wanted to see me some Shocker after the horrendous fail of Electro. |
